  5. In my opinion this is the only book to read a woman before the menopause or peri menopause. Dr. Redmond is a masterful job explaining all the different issues related to hormonal birth control pills, PCOS, and menopause. Thoughtfully explained the various pros and cons of HRT in menopause and I felt that for the first time I understood the statistics from the WHI for several years. Dr. Redmond also explains carefully the possibilities for women, synthetic, natural and bioidentical hormones. This book covers all aspects of the hormonal and not just in terms of hair loss. Hormonal vulnerability of a woman must read for all women with hormonal problems and approaches to the menopause and menopause.
